Getting used to Manual settings

During this week I learnt how to complete certain tasks using a DSLR canon camera.
First thing I learnt was how to manual focus the cameras by slowly zooming in and zooming out until the cameras image becomes clear. Then learnt about the 3 points to think about when calculating exposure. It is a combination of Aperture, shutter speed and ISO/Gain. However, it is often seen shown in a triangle like the one shown below.

Did you know?
Aperture controls how much light gets into the camera and is usually measured as a f-stop. Examples of this are f/2.8 f/3.5 f/4.5 f/5.6 f/7.1 f/9. The higher the f/(number) causes the image to be darker and visa versa. If the f/(number) is lower there is more depth.
