This task required me to read through the script and everyone to choose what role they wanted to be. In my case I was an actor (the recruit). As a team we discussed with one another where and how we wanted the camera set up in order to do this shoot. Although we worked as a team there were times we disagreed with each other on the shot layout and how it would be completed. This helped me to understand that when im working in the industry; not everyone will agree with all choices and to avoid time wasting we should just go by ‘majority rules’.
What happened? My experience:
We were also given the different scences and angles that was wanted to be filmed (Displayed in the table below). Thanks to the previous workshop and lesson on learning about shot types, meant that I was aware of each shot type and what it was asking us to do – whether it be by angle, height or distance. The benefit of this task is that it also put my new found knowledge and skills to work to produce a short scene between a recruit and an organiser, while displaying my ability to relate to the role of an individual that appeared nervous, twitchy and shady.
Post Production
After my group finished filming the project, I helped to pack away the equipment and put them back into their necessary places. I then opened up new folders onto my USB Stick called Exports, Rushes and Project where I then transferred the footage off the SD cards into the Rushes folder.
I opened up premier pro and found what cuts of the footage that worked best in accordance to the sheet above and made a rough edit/final edit. Click onto the link below to see it;
